Sustainable powder coatings
AkzoNobel has recently expanded its "Interpon Low-E Coarse Texture" product line. The portfolio now includes a range with a smooth finish – "Interpon 610 Low-E".
The range has been specially developed for curing at temperatures below the current standard of 180-190 °C. The new product line is available in a wide range of finishes.
The TGIC-free polyester is designed for example for industrial manufacturers of steel structures, agricultural and construction machinery. It includes 50 products for smooth surfaces. The powder coatings are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The polyester-based products are available in a wide range of colors, are easy to apply and offer excellent light and weather resistance according to the manufacturer. They also combine all the advantages of powder coatings, such as low volatile organic compounds, less waste (excess powder can be recycled) and lower transport costs.
