New dosing and colour change system
Dürr has developed a new link between the control unit and applicator for the industrial painting sector: the “Fluid Board.” The fully assembled colour dosing and colour change system is unique on the market to date and enables quick assembly.
With the new colour change system Dürr is thus expanding its “ready2integrate” package and customers can now quickly and easily create a high-quality overall concept consisting of control unit, dosing technology and applicator.
The new system is designed so that it can be fully managed by the “EcoAUC” control unit. It covers the most common 1K and 2K processes, both in the low and high pressure range, and supplies the atomiser or spray gun with paint and rinsing material. This makes the product ideal for work in industrial painting technology, such as in the wood or construction industry or for automotive suppliers. The new system reduces engineering and assembly work enormously. “It is delivered fully assembled and only hoses and cables need to be connected,” explains Stephan Voigt, Product Engineer at Dürr.
The “Fluid Board” contains the “EcoMCC3” colour changer, which can be used to provide up to ten colours. Modern valves from Dürr with up to three hardeners are also installed. The “EcoPump9” gear metering pump from Dürr is used for high-precision metering or a compact regulator for adjusting the operating pressure. When developing the colour change and dosing system, attention was paid to a compact design so that it can also be installed in small spaces.
Digital documentation integrated in colour change system
The new dosing and colour change system is the first product in the field of industrial painting technology that Dürr has equipped with digital technical documentation. This simplifies the commissioning, operation and maintenance of the colour dosing and colour change system. As the new system is an assembly of various Dürr components, the integrator receives overall documentation. This describes the various components and includes process diagrams as examples.
The digital documentation also includes a parts catalogue, a shopping basket for entering orders or enquiries and a convenient search function. With the “ready2integrate” concept, Dürr has been pursuing the goal of harmonising individual products in such a way that a high-quality overall concept consisting of control system, dispensing technology and applicator can be created quickly and easily.
