Dürr: Restructuring and possible sale of envirometal divison
Dürr AG is planning a major Group-wide restructuring and intends to concentrate on its core business in the future, which includes a possible sale of the Environmental Technology division, which includes the area of exhaust air technology
The possible sale is currently being examined. Surface technology is also affected by the restructuring: The areas of painting and final assembly technology as well as application technology, or painting robots, will be assigned to the new Automotive Division, as they mainly serve the automotive industry.
By merging the automotive activities into one division, the Group aims to create the conditions for more efficient customer support in the automotive industry. This applies in particular to painting technology, by far the Group’s largest automotive area. This business recently contributed around € 2 billion to sales.
In future, Dürr intends to bundle its business activities into three divisions – Automotive, Industrial Automation and Woodworking – instead of five as previously.
