Kansai Helios acquires Wefa
The Kansai Helios Group has taken over the German coatings manufacturer on 1 August 2022.
From now on, the wet paint manufacturer will operate under the name Kansai Helios Wefa GmbH. Among other things, Wefa produces paints for the rail vehicle industry or agricultural machinery. As the youngest company in the group, the business will continue to operate at the Essen site and will continue to focus on its core competencies. These are the development and production of rail vehicle paints and ACE coatings. As a fully-fledged member of the group, Wefa has access to the research and development teams within the group and expects this to open up new opportunities in product design and testing. The long-time owner of Westdeutsche Farben GmbH, Robert Schramm, will also remain in the new company’s management for the long term.
Kansai Helios Wefa will present itself to the public for the first time under the new name in Berlin at the InnoTrans trade fair from 20 to 23 September 2022.
