Flexibility for the coating of aluminium wheels
SuperAlloy Manufaktur GmbH in Lossburg put one of the most flexible coating plants in the wheel industry into operation. The wheel-coating plant makes a large number of coating processes possible and is thus equipped not only for the present-day requirements of the market, but also for those of the future, too.
The forged aluminium wheels coated at SuperAlloy Manufaktur GmbH are destined for exclusive car manufacturers in Europe. The flexibility of the wheel plant necessitates the exact definition and planning of the flow of material in order to achieve an optimum mode of operation. The pre-treatment is automatically adapted to suit the downstream process. Pre-heating temperatures and cooling sections are also individually adaptable. Thanks to the high level of automation SuperAlloy can track the wheels precisely and thus carry out detailed quality assurance checks. A special distribution conveyor ensures the plant’s high flexibility. It fetches the wheels from the pre-treatment line and supplies them directly to the individual coating areas. The plant concept still has further potential for future coating variants, coating patterns and special coatings.
