BelAZ commissions new line to paint parts
The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ commissioned a new line for pretreating and painting parts and components of mining vehicles with the carrying capacity of 90-450 tonnes in Zhodino, Minsk Oblast, as BelTA states.
The investment project to commission the new painting line cost around 12,56 million Euro. It is part of a large-scale modernization program. The newly commissioned high-tech painting line occupies an area of 5,200 m2. The total length of the conveyor belt is 1.5 km. The new line will help improve the quality of BelAZ products, extend their service life up to 7-10 years, and reduce the environmental footprint. Modern technologies allow frugally using paints and varnishes. The company expects the new line to save €1.3 million per annum.
